Mirak Jamal (b. Tehran, Iran), grew up between Iran, the USSR, Germany, the USA and Canada. He is currently based in Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions include Kunsthall Oslo (2019) and Galerie Sultana (Paris, 2020). He has exhibited internationally at numerous institutions and spaces such as at the Arken Museum for Moderne Kunst (2022); Brücke Museum (2019), Berlin; Kunsternes Hus, Oslo (2019); Union Pacific, London (2018), Kunstverein Freiburg (2017); Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2017); The Loon, Toronto (2017); 1857, Oslo (2015); and the 15th Istanbul Biennial at Istanbul Modern and Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (2017). The artist is represented by Galerie Sultana (Paris) and is currently a guest tutor at De Ateliers in the Netherlands.
